Mary Grace Krauss (née Schwalbe) was born in Gainesville, Florida in 1995 and graduated from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine in 2017 with a B.A. in Studio Art. She also attended the Glasgow School of Art on exchange in 2015. She currently resides in New York City with her husband and dog. Primarily focusing on portraiture, Grace is interested in exploring the vulnerability of expression and the often 'othering' burden of femininity.
